Setlist du Big Four Tour made in US (27/04/11)
Pour la première fois aux Etats-Unis, les quatre pilliers du heavy-metal se sont réunis sur la même scène le 23 avril dernier à l'Empire Polo Club d'Indio en Californie. Un événement très attendu et historique que James Hetfield n'a pas manqué de rappeler devant plus de 55 000 spectateurs: "this is history tonight and you're part of it". Un show qui a tenu toutes ses promesses avec une setlist très heavy mêlant titres old school et titres récents issus du dernier album Death Magnetic. A noter également le retour de l'instrumental "Orion" bien évidemment plébiscité par le public et le jam collectif désormais traditionnel des membres du Big Four sur le titre "Am I Evil?".
En raison du succès de cette tournée, Lars Ulrich a également laisser entendre lors d'une interview au magazine Rolling Stone que plusieurs autres dates du Big Four Tour sont en préparation pour le continent nord-américain: "We are looking to book something on the East Coast because of the success of this – it should hopefully come together in a week or two. Maybe we'll do somewhere in the Midwest and South, too. Still, I don't think it will turn into a 40 date arena tour; that would make it less special. I like the fact that there's an element of chaos to the whole thing. It shouldn't be sterile, streamlined and perfect: it needs an edgy underbelly to remain authentic".
