Véritable marathon, les Mets' ont enchaîné les plus grands stades et festivals européens durant ce mois de mai avec une étape très attendue à Paris le 12 mai dernier au Stade de France devant plus de 74 000 spectateurs faisant ainsi de ce show le deuxième plus grand concert de Metallica sur le sol européen en terme d'affluence. Les premières parties ont été assurées par The Kills et le groupe des frères Duplantier (Gojira) qui a pu profiter de cette occasion pour effectuer la promotion de leur prochain opus "L'enfant Sauvage" (interview Mario Duplantier). Vingtième anniversaire du "Black Album" oblige, celui-ci a été interprêté dans son intégralité accompagné en début et fin de set par les "classiques" mais aussi par le titre "Hell and Back" issu des sessions d'enregistrement de l'album "Death Magnetic".
Désormais coutumiers de ces festivals, les Mets' se sont produits au Rock In Rio à Lisbonne dont le show était retransmis en simultanné sur Youtube, au Wertcher Festival en Belgique et au Sonisphere Festival à Madrid dont les détails sont disponibles ci-dessous ainsi sur le site officiel Metallica.com.
